In our fast paced world, we have many things that compete for our attention. Meditation, an ancient practice meant to still the mind and fine tune our focus may be just the thing we need. Check out my guided meditations, many very short and designed for beginners. In meditation we do not try to achieve anything. We choose a posture that reflects proper alignment, allowing less muscle effort to sit in place. We soften, relaxing the speed of our thoughts and find stillness. We embody the ability to accept and yield to the forces that move through us. A meditation practice improves our concentration, reduces our reactivity, reminds us to breathe before speaking. It can teach us how to being aware of our surroundings without being attached to them. What if we all opened our world views, finding the space between our thoughts ? In stillness what could this look like?
